Ganna Gnedkova

was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 1992. She grew up bilingual. Since 2016, she has been translating fiction and non-fiction from English and German into Ukrainian and vice versa. In 2020, her first own text Mein Name sei G. won the Exile Literature Prize for poetry. In 2022, she received the Ranis Debut Scholarship and is writing a collection of stories with the working title The Child and Death. Since the beginning of the large-scale Russian war against Ukraine, she has been the contact person for the media centre of the Ukrainian community in Vienna. In 2023, the essay collection Ukraine mon amour edited by her was published by Passagen Verlag.
