born in 1971, is a Finnish-German dual citizen and has interpreted since childhood. She regularly travels to Finland and enjoys going to the sauna. For more than twenty years, she has translated several genres, from novels to comics to feature films from Finnish into German, and moderated readings for adults as well as children. Among the children’s and young adult authors she has translated are: the children’s book duo Havukainen/Toivonen, with the Tatu and Patu books, Siri Kolu, Tuutikki Tolonen, and Timo Parvela. In 2019, she received the Finnish State Prize for Translation into Foreign Languages. She lives and works in Berlin.
