born in Zagreb in 1975, is a writer, theater director, and performer working in the intersecting fields of literature, performing arts, and music. She is the author of four highly acclaimed novels and a dozen political plays, of which Bombenfrau achieved international success.  Her numerous awards include the Chavalier de’l ordre des Arts et Lettres and the HKW International Prize for Literature. Her latest novel, Every Departure is a Little Death, translated by Alida Bremer, is a journey written in a few long sentences conecting different times and spaces through the reconstruction of an act of violence.
