born in 1959, studied political science, philosophy, and religious studies at the Free University of Berlin and earned her doctorate with a thesis on Foucault and Kant. Since her traineeship in the humanities editorial department of the publishing house C.H.Beck, she has worked as a freelance editor for C.H.Beck, S. Fischer, Suhrkamp, and Lars Müller Publishers, among others. She has translated from French and English since 2011, including works by Michel Foucault, Esther Duflo, Miguel Abensour, Elsa Dorlin, Manon Garcia, Pierre Charbonnier, Paul Rabinow, Nikolas Rose, and Melinda Cooper. She has received several awards from the German Translator’s Fund. She now lives in France.
